The ancient dictum Saa Vidyaa Yaa Vimuktaye (Education is that which liberates) serves as the radical anchor for a revitalised Bharatiya educational framework. Moving beyond purely eschatological or "other-worldly" interpretations, this principle suggests that true Vidya facilitates the systematic liberation of human consciousness from the inherent limitations of our physical, vital, and mental instruments.
In this context, the goal of education is the perfection of the learner: refining the physical being to manifest Beauty and Harmony, transforming the vital being toward purity and power, and honing mental faculties for manifesting the true knowledge. This is achieved through antarmukhikarana (inwardisation), a process that aligns the outer instruments of learning with the inner divinity, or Atman. By centring the curriculum on the Upanishadic injunction Atmanam Viddhi (Know Thyself), we move away from modern rote learning toward a sophisticated psycho-spiritual mechanism of knowledge transmission. Ultimately, this liberatory pedagogy seeks to restore the sacred alignment between the knower, the known, and the process of knowing.
